High Desert Bridal Faire

We are exhibitors at the High Desert Bridal Faire at the fairgrounds in Victorville California this weekend. Tomorrow is the last day, so make sure you stop by to say hello! Thanks to all of you who stopped by the booth already and also to the brides who booked consultations! We are SO excited to hear about your wedding plans and to share our business with you. We also enjoyed networking with all of the vendors, but especially getting to know some of the other high desert photographers. You are all so great and so talented! Looking forward to times of getting together and sharing ideas and plans and supporting one another in our goals. A few pics of our booth. By the way, the little 5x5 purse books and the candles were the hit of the day :)

San Diego Wedding

Analise and Michael's wedding was on the 12th of January at San Diego 1st Assembly of God Church. The photos tell the story of a couple in love with family and friends that are supportive and have a strong tie to their faith. My favorite pic of the day is when Paula (one of our photographers) caught the father giving away the Bride and the look on the fathers face just says "please take care of my baby". We often get emotional ourselves at these events, but this one had a bit more emotion than many. Congrats to the happy couple and the families!

Senior Picture Time

One of the most exciting times of your life is graduation day! At SceneOne, Paula has been our resident senior portrait photographer. She has been busy for the past few weeks. If you haven't had your photos taken yet, NOW IS THE TIME! Call the office and we will set you up! These are a few of my favs.

Wedding in Westlake Village

We shot a spectacular wedding on New Years Eve in Westlake Village, CA. The families were so amazing and so much fun. The hotel (The Four Seasons) did an amazing job of catering the event. Caryl from Especially for You Designs in Tarzana coordinated the event. It was a perfect day...always a few snags but nothing that took away from the beautiful event! Congrats to the Bride and Groom and their wonderful families! Of course, a few pics.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas is the best time of the year for so many reasons.

1. The reason for the season! A child born 2000 years ago!

2. Snow! (we didn't get any, but Mike who runs our Washington office did!)

3. Family! Especially grand children! They are the best! This has been a very happy and very sad Christmas on that front. Spending time with Patrick and Baby Rusty has been the best. Here are a few pics of the event.

But I really was missing Tommy in Illinois and Little Baby Lyle Michael Anthony Garmer that was born and died on December 18th of this year in Normal Illinois. Toni's last sono showed no heart beat and she went in that evening for an induction.

4. Memories! I miss my Mother and my Grandmothers who are no longer with us. But somehow you know they are there in spirit and the memories of past Christmas's are forever with us. Everytime we look at a photo, we are reminded of a memory! Aren't photos GREAT!?

Last Sunday we photographed the Victorville First Assembly of God Choir Production of "It's All About the Baby. It was a fun shoot. Always a challenge when there is almost no light in the building and colored stage lighting. Here are a couple of pics.

Disneyland Portraits

Tuesday we took some portraits at Disneyland! It was great and we got some great photos. Michelle and Albert were great subjects and a lot of just plain fun too!

Tanya and Travis

What an incredible day and an amazing shoot! Pismo Beach made the perfect background for a wedding. Tanya was beyond beautiful and looked like a princess. Travis was her Prince Charming for sure! A little fog in the air and a bit nippy, Pismo is beautiful even with the weather. The slideshow was the biggest hit, with photos of Tanya and Travis growing up and a few photos from the weekend and the wedding itself! Enjoy a few pics.

About Me

My photo
I have been married to the same wonderful man for 33 years. We love to travel together and spend hours just talking. He enjoys my creative side and I lean on his intellectual side that kind of keeps life in balance. We are so happy in our marriage that it is just natural that we enjoy the wedding industry! Paula Vaughn is our other primary photographer and also our Daughter. She had been married for 5 years and loves to shoot weddings and portraits. All of us love to travel to destination weddings!
