Welcome to our blog! SceneOne Photography began completely by chance. We are a family business that got its start by volunteering our talents for friends and family. Eventually it became more than a hobby and we ventured into the world of LLC's and Websites, and here we are! It's an ongoing journey, but so worth the ride! Check out the website and the entries here on the blog and have a great day!
The wedding season is slow, so I am enjoying shooting some headshots. Abi called me last week and we just shot her photos on Friday. Some were studio shots and some were natural light. Here are a few of my favs so far.
God's reward for not killing your own children....definition of Grand Children! Heehee. Love these little ones. They are the cutest little sweethearts on the planet! Well...I might be a bit prejudiced. We babysat them all weekend! What a chore and a joy at the same time. I am tired...I need a vacation from my weekend, but I sure had fun. These 3 are each 13 months apart and full of energy. The oldest (Patrick) slept with Lyle (my incredibly handsome husband!) and I every night and the youngest (Grace) stole "Papou's" heart. The middle guy (Rusty) is my birthday present as he was born on my birthday, April 6th so therefore my favorite...well not really. They are all SOOOO incredibly fun to be around and I am lucky enough to see them everyday!
This week at VVC where I teach they are auditioning for Beauty and the Beast and ALL of the students are hitting me up for head shots. When I do headshots I give them most of the photos in Color, Black and White, and Sepia. It gives them a variety of looks, because each has its own personality. This is Kathryn Gibson. She is a VERY talented actress. I would not be surprised at all to find her on national stages in the next few years if she continues to follow her dreams. A few of her shots.
Well, another headshot session. Victoria is a student and aspiring actress and knock down dead gorgeous! We had a great session. She is so full of life and fun to be around. Her audition is coming up in a little over a week and we wish her LOTS of luck. Have fun Victoria!
Lovin' black and white today for some reason. I went to Victor Valley College today and shot some head shots for a theater arts major. David is fun loving and talented and we ended up the day with some pretty cool shots. When I do head shots I like to convert many of them to black and white and these are a few of my favs.
PUSHING MY LIMITS! I don't know when I have enjoyed something more, or learned SO much than in this workshop. I just spent two days in Santa Barbara California in a workshop with David Beckstead. I feel like my head is reeling from the info and I am looking at images with a whole new perspective. I have a new insight on my constantly developing style and some great new friends!
I have been married to the same wonderful man for 33 years. We love to travel together and spend hours just talking. He enjoys my creative side and I lean on his intellectual side that kind of keeps life in balance. We are so happy in our marriage that it is just natural that we enjoy the wedding industry! Paula Vaughn is our other primary photographer and also our Daughter. She had been married for 5 years and loves to shoot weddings and portraits. All of us love to travel to destination weddings!
